French Countryside and Villages in the Lot River Valley June
12 - 22, 2010 Join Alan Flattmann for an exciting
plein air painting and sketching workshop in the wonderful Lot River
Valley of southern France. Lodging will be at Domaine du Haut Baran,
a beautiful old French Country House with fantastic scenery all around;
situated in the Lot Valley among vineyards, farms, a winding river,
small villages and castles. It is just a two hour drive from Toulouse
Airport and is owned and managed by an American couple, so you won’t
have language difficulties. Bedrooms have private bathrooms with American
style showers and hairdryers and you will have the use of the beautiful
grounds with swimming pool and Jacuzzi. Transportation from the airport
and to painting sites is provided by the owner who is fluent in French
and English. ALAN FLATTMANN, a
PSA Master Pastellist, was inducted into The Pastel Society of
America HALL OF FAME in 2006 and is a recipient of the 1996
AMERICAN ARTIST ART MASTERS AWARD for PASTEL TEACHER, as well as many
others awards and honors. He has taught since 1968 and has led many
painting tours to Europe and other foreign destinations. The workshop
will teach students how to produce exciting paintings and sketches on
location. Alan will demonstrate pastel, watercolor and sketching techniques
